Will Bowes has been writing and performing original music since childhood. His earliest musical influencer was Neil Young, attending his concert at 6 years old. At age 11, he released his first single, September Cry, which he penned in response to the 9/11 tragedies and received a national radio campaign with interviews on CBC Radio One. His debut single, Mad at the World, won 1st place in the 2018 International Songwriting Competition in the “social causes” category and placed 3rd in the “performance” category.
Will is best known for his feature film roles in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and House at the End of the Street, opposite Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. Select television credits include Alias Grace, Degrassi, Murdoch Mysteries, Saving Hope, Dark Matter, Rookie Blue, and Copper.
Will has written and directed dozens of award winning short films and music videos, screened during international festival tours. Hunting Season, a film he wrote, directed, produced and had a supporting role in, won the award of excellence at the 2013 Canada International Film Festival.
